Task One: Show and Tell on Monday, September 15th
Do a blog post entitled AEA online resources on YOUR blog with the following info:
- tell us the purpose of the site and the features
- show us three examples for a teacher use (could be by the teacher, or the students, in class or as an assignment).
- tell us what ages, grades, and content areas can use it.
- if their is a tutorial or helpful handout, link us to it, so we can learn how to use it.
Your presentation should be:
- at least 3 minutes but no more than 4:30.
- state the purpose of this resource and it's scope (or usefulness)
- showing us the site from your 'expert' point of view.
- giving examples of kid or teacher use and something that will inspire us to go back.
This is an in depth response, reflection, it should be several paragraphs of your thinking, well written, cohesive, fluent, with your personality style included, and correct formatting, grammar, punctuation. Basically I think this could take you an hour or more to write out.

- What does good teaching look like? sound like?
- what tools are needed in a 21st century classroom
- how are these tools used by students? teachers?
- does your content area or grade level have specific needs for their learning environment.
- how does your teaching philosophy fit with the new concepts you've been exposed to?
- what part of the theory is confusing to you?
- do you have wonders or see concerns, problems, or hurdles?
- do you need more instruction and information on these theories (or one of these theories)? if so which one?
- Find a link to a resource, video, or tool that you think fits your thinking about teaching and learning and include it, and explain how it fits.
Task Three: Extend Your Thinking-- for class on Sept. 22nd. Quality Tools/resources
- think about what resources are on the internet that you know of. Do they fit into the ideas of learning we've been talking about?
- are they quality resources? engaging? motivating? easy to use? relevant? free? age appropriate?
- and then look at this list of potential tools for classroom teachers and explore 5 of them just to see what they are, how they are used, and start deciding if you agree with them or not.
- What makes a good tool? resource? online activity? when you find something web 2.0-- what helps you know that you or your students could learn using this application/tool?
